For the angler with an appetite for aesthetics, Rick has developed the Premier Model. For this model, Rick uses a highly figured mortised reel seat with an engraved nickel silver sliding band and butt cap. The bamboo is flamed, giving the rod a variation of browns, tans, and blondes. The classic cigar grip is used. Wraps are translucent blood red with black tipping. Nickel silver ferrule plugs are included. A red agate stripping guide sets off the rod to make it a special instrument to fish or show off.

A striking aspect of this rod is the hand engraving on reel seat components and ferrules. This "bright cut" style of western engraving is done by Rick's nephew, Nick Cunningham.
